CHRISTIAN ABBIATI:“Now we should just celebrate, without talking about individuals. All of us have played an important role. I would like to thank everyone who works behind the scenes at Milanello”.
CLARENCE SEEDORF:“This victory is just what we needed. The team showed great sacrifice and unity in a delicate game. We did well, we even came close to scoring in the second half. After the final whistle, all of us let our emotions go. I think that this triumph will brings enthusiasm and conviction to the team and in the future we’ll look to win big honours. This Scudetto is for all our fans”.
ALESSANDRO NESTA:“We all deserved this title after being at the top of the standings for the whole season. Everyone has been fundamental, but special praise goes to Ignazio [Abate]. He played in another position last season, but he’s managed to adapt to his new role perfectly. He’s had an extraordinary season”.
ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC:“We’re an elite team, the guys have won even without me. We got over some difficult periods and in the end won the title. I hope to make history with Milan, here I feel at home. I’m sorry for having missed five matches due to suspension. Now we must only concentrate on the Italian Cup, but then we want to celebrate together with the fans at the San Siro.
I came to Milan to win and that’s what we've done. I’ve won at each ot Italy’s three biggest clubs. I’ve spent 6 years in this country and I’ve won the title at the end of each season. Now we need to take one thing at a time: hopefully, we’ll qualify for the final on Tuesday; we’ll have enough time to think about the next season later. We want to win three titles. I thank the president, who brought me to Milan, where I’ve found happiness again“.
